Biography:

Bern Shen, MD, MPhil, is Chief Medical Officer at Theralive, an mHealth accelerator that provides customized mobile health solutions. He was double Board-certified in internal medicine and emergency medicine, and practiced clinically at Yale, Pitt, UCSF, and international sites. He also has 15 years of health IT experience at HP, Oracle, Institute for the Future, Intel — where he was chief healthcare strategist – and various startups. He is on the faculty at schools of medicine, pharmacy and business at UCSF and the University of Iowa, and has served on various nonprofit Boards including The Health Trust and Clay Christensen’s Innosight Institute.
