Cynthia J. Sieck, PhD, MPH,is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University. She received her doctorate in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a Master of Public Health in Public and Community Health Services from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. Dr. Sieck has expertise with both qualitative and quantitative methods. Her research interests include patient engagement, patient activation, patient understanding of the US healthcare system and individual behavior change. Currently, her research focuses on use of Personal Health Records in the primary care and inpatient setting and on the development of patient/researcher partnerships.
