Author: Fred Trotter
Fred Trotter is a leading advocate for the Open Source health software movement. Trotter was the only Open Source representative asked to testify on the definition of meaningful use at NCVHS. He works for the Cautious Patient Foundation, which focuses on getting patients to engage in the patient safety movement; to work to ensure that they are free from medical errors and misdiagnosis. Trotter is currently writing a book on meaningful use for O’Reilly Media. This article, along with most other things Trotter says in public, represent Trotter’s personal opinions and not necessarily those of either O’Reilly Media or the Cautious Patient Foundation.
